The present trending issue regarding Senator Elisha Abbo’s assault on a nursing mother in a sex shop in Abuja continues to generate reactions from notable Nigerians.



Two notable Nigerian women, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili and Honourable Abike Dabiri have both aired their thoughts on the trending issue.

Reacting, Hon. Abike Dabiri, Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission and member of the House of Representatives in her reaction to the Senator’s assault on the nursing mother appears to have played up the feminism narrative.

In her recent series of tweets, the lawmaker is quoted as saying ”to think that this PDP guy was said to have ‘defeated’ one of our most respected female parliamentarians…’ apparently drawing up the feminist angle from the entire issue.

However, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, has a somewhat different perspective as she in a series of tweets looks at the issue from the entire political landscape inferring that such is what goes on within the political space while adding that this does not necessarily imply that every young person is like him.
