The Nigerian Senator, Elisha Abbo, seen in a viral video assaulting a woman at a sex top shop in Abuja, has finally apologized.

The senator who has been under fire since the video surfaced on the internet yesterday took to his social media page to tender the apology after petitions were raised for his resignation.

This is coming after presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar asked him to tender a public apology to the woman and to Nigerians in general.

Commenting on the issue in his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Mr Abubakar, who is from Adamawa State, condemned the action of the lawmaker and admonished him to issue a public apology.

In his statement, Elisha Abbo tendered his apologies to the woman he assaulted and to all Nigerian women. He mentioned that he is not a violent individual and his life should not be defined by a 5-minute action.

What an audacity! After reeling out series of Hocus-Pocus thinking that Nigerian were so dumb to buy in your disgusting lies, this motherfvcker got the temerity to ask for forgiveness? Fine then but you must face the consequences of your actions,

but his useless wife was standing by him claimimg his innocence.. useless people living in a zoo.. Animal Farm.

What nonsense.. Let him wait until someone does same to his wife or sister so he appreciates the gravity of his bestial act. Until then, this is bullshit..

He should take it a step further by compensating the lady for the assault and battery. If the lady is satisfied, we should all forgive him and move on. We all make mistakes once in a while since we are not perfect.

Hopefully, he and others with similar tendency to assault others would have learnt from this case. The days of assaulting people and getting away with it is over.

On a lighter note though, the part where he claimed to be an ambassador of Christ really shocked me . Like seriously, what is an ambassador of Christ doing at a toy shop with three young girls? He should not have included that part in his statement. Local man was really dazed reading that shit.

This is what he should have done initially, instead of trying to play on our intelligence with claims of being beaten and the incident happening a long time ago.

The public apology was only to save his salary as a senator.. No sign of hin feeling remorse..

this guy did not show any sign of remorse,I implore the girl reject the apology in totality and should brief her lawyers asap
