Frustration is evident everywhere. This is for no reason but for the fact that most people feel they are below standard. This would have been better if the point of reference was worth it, but unfortunately it is not. Let me be more elaborate.
Walking through the corridors of society today, most especially amongst we the youths, you would come across unhappy faces and souls who wonder in alter frustration, feeling left behind with thoughts of living below the bench mark of what they have decided to major their progress and take their worth from. What is this benchmark I am referring to? The Social media!
The social media has become the life rule for most of us where we major our worth by the number of likes, followers and friend lists. While in actual sense some of us are friendless. We forget the fact that most of these people show to us only what they want visible. Beyond the snapshots and photo filters lie their true identities and personalities. We on the other hand grow weary with thoughts of being left behind.
These social platforms are filled with people who put on Victoria secret with no secrets at all; we have their daily meals on their status, their every moment on their stories while all their feelings can be read in captions. People who rock the Hugo Boss brand with no control over their lives. Most of us don’t even understand who we truly are because, our next hairdo, dressing or entire look can only be determined by the choices of our favorite celebrity. We are controlled and ruled by the choices of others with no ownership of our lives.
However, the live in question is yours. Hence, you owe it to yourself to either make a change or continue in the band wagon of confusion and frustration. Rather than live the photocopy of another person’s life you can choose to be the author of yours. All you need do is appreciate the little you have at the moment and accept life as a process. Even the bible admonishes us not to despise the days of little beginning. Be the fanatic of your success, the spectator of your moments and creator of your joy.
Thank you.
