The country Iran is always in the news for one issue or the other, if it’s not about their failed nuclear deal with the USA, it’s about their strict and stringent Islamic laws and the latter played out recently with the world’s most beloved game, Football.

An Iranian woman was prevented from entering a stadium in Iran to watch her favourite team play against their rivals and this isn’t new in Iran. It also gathered by Viralmula.Com that this extends to another loved sport in the country of Iran “Volleyball”.

What is Iran’s reason for preventing women from watching football and other games. Their reason is and i quote:

Iran has long banned women from attending men’s soccer matches, at least partly on the theory that women shouldn’t hear male fans swear and curse.

clerics say that women who want to go to stadium are not Islamic.

Iran has made minor changes, but Iranian women still deserve a greater taste of freedom in Football. Then there are those whose prize is not simply the score—it is to be able to drink in this moment in person. To cheer, laugh, cry with thousands of others in any stadium is a right; to love football is a birthright. But for women in Iran, it is not possible. A law enacted in 1979 and touted by rigid Islamic clerics bans them from attending any sporting events in public stadiums.
