Citizens Quest: Chief Oby Ndukwe Leads Team, Ascertain NDDC Projects In Rivers State

Chief Oby Ndukwe led team of Fresh Agenda for Rivers State and Nigeria (FARN) on Citizens Quest across streets and communities in Port Harcourt.

The aim is to ascertain Projects executed by the current management of Niger Delta Development Commission led by Prof. Nelson Brambaifa and his team.

Chief Oby Ndukwe, the leader of the team said, “We embarked on this task not because anyone nor agency sent us, we deemed it fit to ascertain the level of development NDDC is actually carrying out in Rivers State and South-South at large.”

Chief Oby stated that the media onslaught against the management of the commission should not just be targeted at poisoning the mind of the people against the Commission and its management, rather people should make efforts to see things for themselves to avoid believing the wrong stories put up in the media which may be of individual or group of persons selfish aggrandizement.

Citizens Quest which began last week with Day 3 today, visited various project sites located in Rivers State. Numerous road projects executed by the current management of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) within three months were ascertained.

True Blue Reporters was on ground and reports that some of the roads ascertained were: Road 18 & road 4 Woji Estate,
Liberty Road, off Alcon, Woji,
Ihunwo/Chinwo street, Woji,
Redemption Drive, Mini Woji,
While Road 1, Woji has been abandoned by the contractor.

Others are; Farm road, Ada George,
Adonai/Farm road,
Gift Avenue, Mgbuoba,
Yahoo Str, off farm road,
New road by shell location, Ada George,
Ogunke Erewa road- Rumuoke road,
Odarawere by maranatha street,
Okania road and lots more.

The team interacted with residence in the area who could not hide to express how thankful they were with NDDC for delivering the roads they described as death trap before now. However, some demanded for inclusiveness and maintenance of other dilapidated roads within their areas.

Chief Oby Ndukwe, the leader of the team, revealed that Citizens Quest will visit more areas in Rivers State as it looks forward to also visit other states in the South-South Region
