Omo when Obaseki came into power people knew oshiomole was stealing massively from the government. Though he did well in first tenure, but second tenure was a disaster. You need to see what Obaseki is doing in Edo state. He is the best so far since 1999.

Obaseki was part and parcel of any stealing that happened. He was a member and head of oshomole financial team.

His second tenure was hardly a disaster, that is when he worked in esanland and in Afemai region, edo north and central, his first term was almost exclusively in Benin.

Benin isn't all of Edo state.

Oshiomole that talks anyhow have you heard him insult Obaseki. Obaseki always had free hand to rule, apart from appointments recommended by the party to balance certain things, Osho never had any say in the running of Obaseki government.

The people who even began this thing is not osho vs Obaseki, it is actually Obaseki vs kabaka and Co. Those guys (kabaka) are revenue collectors and party men that osho was using, they provided a lot of financial support for Obaseki election. But Obaseki removed them and computerized the system, that meant he was biting the finger that fed him. Oshomole didn't even react to that.

When buhari election came kabaka brought out huge money to buy votes for atiku, that is how Buhari lost in Benin, that was kabakas revenge against osho for ignoring his issues.

It didn't stop there the disaffection grew, both kabakas camp and Bob Izua camp, then party members in Benin started to grumble. Obaseki expected osho to support him and osho was quiet from beginning to end.

It was Obaseki who first cried foul against osho even though he refused to wade into the matter.

The one that spoilt the issue is that Obaseki did not inaugurate a majority of party lawmakers including oshomole's junior brother.

That is how osho who was quiet finally entered the matter...


So I don't know how you will say oshomole didn't respect himself, because throughout until now he has been reserved and had not undercut Obaseki.
