 The founder and senior pastor of the ‘House On The Rock’ church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin has revealed that the old testament of the Bible doesn’t work anymore. According to the post shared yesterday, Tuesday 9th, the pastor revealed that the law don’t work again as it is an expired covenant. He thereby encouraged the use of the more modern New testament, calling it the ‘new plan, new mediator and new agreement’ as it is built on a better manager. False prophet, he doesn't know which one he's saying or standing for. Here he is saying the Old Testament laws doesn't work anymore, but on the other hand he collects tithe. What he ought to be saying is that relying on the works of the law as a means of salvation and eternal life doesn't work. What works is relying on Jesus who gives eternal life and salvation to all those who believe in him. Does that mean the law is now useless? I don't agree! It works but it's not powerful enough to generate the kind of power the church needs, to make it stronger than the devil and for the gates of hell not to be able to prevail against it. The Words of Jesus is what has the capacity to do that for the church. 1 Like 1 Share |

alBHAGDADI: The scripture paul was referring to is the tanarkh...that is the old testament, NOT THE BIBLE...paul was not talking to you that is reading his letters today, he wrote a letter to his friend..i dont know who had the idea that it is God's word.Context is key. |

Righteousness89:big lie!!!! The pastor is right, God made his word specific to very generation. Some for the old era, and they are not to be applied for us this modern day. When God commanded Moses to strike the rock in order to get water, we should not ignorantly go about striking rocks looking for water today simply because it was written in the old testament, we will never get the same result. Same with tithing and all those old laws |

Righteousness89:you already know that God cannot command anyone to strike a rock this modern day. It has never happened since the inception of the new covenant through Christ since approximately 2000 years ago that a pastor striked rock to bring water, what for? This modern day that through science one can sink borehole and purify drinking water for a whole community and you are still talking about how a pastor miraculously bring water from a rock like Moses? You must be having a very ridiculous primitive mindset and for sure, that is not Christianity you are practicing like that Or do you have any example of a pastor who is still doing any such primitive things today? I don't think so it will never happen now. So be realistic like what the pastor has said and give up your deception it will not work. |

I think the Pastor is just confused... He said try the new covenant... Could someone actually use the old without believing in the new? Jesus preached in synagogues using the old... Jesus performed miracles in a way that appeared old, meaning the Holy Spirit may direct us into doing things that looks foolish... We need learn the Bible ourselves, most of the sheep are being taught and misled by wolves in sheepskins... How could u receive tithes and preach first fruits and still call the old testament an expired book... It's not expired, it's explained unto salvation 1 Like |

The Old Testament (Covenant) will be fully revived by the Jews towards the end of age... Plans for a third temple is in place...but how to replace the dome of the rock with the 3rd temple is the current obstacle. The order of Priesthood, burnt offerings e.t.c. are being practiced in Jerusalem as we speak... |

Righteousness89:on what condition that he is the same, yesterday, today and forever? Do you think this scripture applies to all condition? If that is what you think you are being deceived. For you to have a clear understanding of the scripture you quoted read verses 11 and 12 with the scripture Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Heb 13:11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp Verse 11 here is talking about the Israelites sacrificing beast(animals) in their sanctuary for the atonement of their sins. This was the first condition of appease God, it had nothing to do with Jesus Christ . But here is verse 12 talking about the second condition which requires Jesus being crucified for the atonement of sins WHICH REMAINS THE SAME, TODAY AND FOREVER (not the first condition of the old covenant) Heb 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. So, you can see that when Hebrews was saying Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, it has nothing to do with old testament or the old covenant. Old covenant was of Abraham, new covenant was of Christ. Jesus can never be the same as Abraham saying he is the same, yesterday, today and forever |

Righteousness89:no one is disputing this one. But does this mean that the old testament is also bible in reality? I don't think so. So stop picking old testament laws that are not relevant to Christianity saying it is bible. That is what the pastor is saying. Today you have learn something new. constructively analyse one of my statement that point that i pick one part of the bible let's see. You just have to be discrete and accurate this modern day that there is education otherwise you will face serious criticism like the church is currently facing today by both believers and non-believers due to inherent dogmatism of todays church. done by who? By God himself who is a spirit or by humans? God created humans in canal body in his imagine and likeness in. Everything we do as humans we do in our canal body. The brain we ought to apply in other to comprehend scriptures and other written materials is canal and not spiritual. Whether we understand or not will depend on how the individual uses his brain and not God who is spirit. again, do you imitate old order of doing things in the old testament this modern day as a Christian saying you are oheying God's word? 1.Do you put on white garment and walk barefooted on streets saying you are obeying God's word simply because priests of old testament put on white garments and Moses was barefooted in the burning bush? 2.Do you pay tithe saying you are obeying God's word simply because the Jews paid tithe? 3. Do you sacrifice animals for atonement of your sins saying you are obeying God's word? 4. Do you slaughter fellow human beings in battle and destroy all their goods saying you are obeying God's words because God instructed some people to do that in the old testament? If you choose to keep all these because you want to obey God's word, then do all of them. because. James 2: 10 says For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. very true! But you should know that some part were written for us to learn and know how life used to be in the old, therefore no part is useless like you said. But the way we use it matters to us today. They were written in order for us to make correction and amendment where necessary and not to repeat their lifestyle and mistakes by making doctrines out of them.
