Fhemmmy: The freedoms of press; civil liberties; marked improvement in human rights and democratic practice; the mobile phone revolution; banking modernization/strengthening; rapid economic expansion; debt relief; man infrastructural improvements were initiated during this time. Buhari has not improved any of these measures, and in fact, has retrogressed in most. Sure, people complained during OBJ, YRD, and GEJ, but there's is a definite bite of suffering and hunger in the land under PMB. Even upon that Atiku allegedly stole money (which is yet to be proven by the APC in a court of law), life was way way better. 1 Like |

Gbengais: And you think she did it without polictical backing from President and other advisors? Sure she was instrumental in getting it done, but who nominated, appointed, approved, and supported her? It was a team effort, as these things are. The statement: “As someone who headed the National Economic Council that paid off Nigeria’s entire debt under the visionary leadership of President Olusegun Obasanjo"... is very very true. If they did not raise it as an issue, and pursue all avenues, it won't have happened, even with Okonjo-Iweala's brains and influence with the neo-imperialists agencies (IMF and World Bank). 2 Likes |

We're back in the hands of people who don't understand basic money: if you borrow so much money that you only pay interest, you will eventually strangle your economy, especially when you don't make efforts to grow it. 1 Like |

CptCharlesVane: When he was the Vice president, he questioned Obasanjo's system of rule. Stop saying nonsense. Tackle the present and forget the past, also remove sentiments and aim for solutions. Nigerians love proscribing someone who has come to speak for justice. |
