Supreme Court Did Not Struck Out Pdp's Case - Sikirulahi Ogundele by Ponmile001: 8:50pm On Jul 10, 2019
The State Chairman of Ogun Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Sikirukahi Ogundele has dismissed a news report making the rounds that the supreme court had struck out a case filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against Engr. Bayo Dayo and co.

Hon. Ogundele while reacting to the report on Wednesday, explained in clear terms that the Supreme court could not have pronounced the Bayo Dayo - led exco as the authentic since the case before it did not bother on who controls the soul of the Party in Ogun.

"I have read with dismay the reports of some cyber serpents which gladly misinterprets the position of the Supreme court as having validate the dissident group led by Bayo Dayo as the authentic. Nothing could be farther from the truth. As we all know that this is not the case before the court and it was not even one of the prayers sought by the PDP and as such, can not be granted especially in favour of the defendant. What was decided by the Supreme court is the refusal of the court of appeal to relist the appeal against Buba's judgement which was delivered in 2016. Some people have misconstrued this to mean that the apex court declared Bayo Dayo led exco as the authentic, it is a lie from the pit of hell. The court merely urged the PDP and its counsels to amend and represent the case, it did not struck it out".

"Elections have come and gone. INEC had done the bidding of its controllers and we are only focused on putting the Party together to regain its balance. It is shameful and very absurd that the largest Party in West Africa can now only boast of two positions, out of forty in Ogun State", Ogundele said.

He further submitted that the Party, can only be guided by law but can not be ruled by court judgements, noting that the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) both at the national and state level have commenced proper plans to solve the lingering crisis in the Party by instilling discipline and commencing heavy mobilization exercise which also includes bringing back home those who have deserted the party for one reason or the other".

"We are not bothered by the antics of some mischievous elements to keep hold of the Party's structure for merchant purpose. Everyone in the State had seen the true picture of their real person in the last election and in order to avoid a recurrence in 2023, we'll put in our mental and strategic effort. We won't allow our Party to be used as a negotiation platform for the victory of another political Party in Ogun State. Almighty Allah has given us Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu who is willing to use everything he has to reposition the Party for victory ahead of the 2023 election. Very soon, God will deliver Ogun PDP from the shackles of merchandisers who have subverted the will of genuine Party members in exchange for juicy offers from the ruling Party", he concluded.

On a final note, the Chairman urged Party members in the State to remain calm as all issues will be resolved soon and the race to reclaim Ogun from the "clueless" APC government.
