Says who? You can learn in unswept and stinking lecture halls? Use filthy and oozing conveniences? Live and learn with assorted reptiles due to uncut grasses and lawns?... Every university staff member has his niche of importance.
And who told u d lecture halls would be opened, and even if it's open, dem go chase una commot lock door..but d good thing about their strike is DAT it doesn't really last long..

Fvck dem all. Let dem go ahead with the strike. They just keep destabilizing students with strike threat everyday.
If strike will solve Nigeria's educational problems, it would have long ago. They know this, but all they are fighting for is their pocket and don't give a damn about the students.
You are talking like a student not considering these people's lives and families, the government can pay their salaries and entitlements without stress but choose not to because of corruption, go to agencies and trustfunds in Nigeria and see how billions is looted daily, let them strike till this useless government hears them, common 30k minimum wage hasn't been implemented till date, rubbish

What the fvck are you yapping about? So, lecturers will also clean toilets, clear grass, run and service generators, keep and sort academic records, service and maintain school server/internet services?...

How exactly did you gain admission?.. Your words and reasoning are a terrible indictment on our tertiary education system.... SHAME!!!

I'm glad you are reasonable and sensible enough to understand the impact of such industrial action... Can't say the same for most people commenting here, and they call themselves undergraduates.

Sigh... I actually thought you would respond with a half-intelligent rebuttal... I guess I overestimated your ability to hold up an objective discourse.

I sincerely hope and pray you are just one of the pedestrian few in that university of yours, if not, then that school should be discredited and delisted.

Please, don't bother responding further... It's way too early to bandy words with dimwitted students from average institutions.

don't worry ,when they put your light off, cut off water and close down your library and school clinic, besides not processing the nysc call up etc, you will know that they can surely cripple academic activities

Have you not head that the money that FGN released for the earned allowance meant for all staff of the universities that ASUU national execitives directed that they must get 80% of the money while the other 3 unions will get 20%. Who is now causing trouble ?
Re: Non-academic staff begin Protests, Fresh strike looms in Nigeria Universities by erajude: 10:40pm On Jul 13, 2019
If you take the statistics of staff in the university, ASUU is the smallest in number compare to non teaching staff
