As at last 4 or 5 yrs, there was a very heated argument from people in diaspora here about countries that are actually best in terms of living condition, feeding, acceptance, etc in this nairaland cos as usual, people in America will not allow us to hear.
Folks that have lived in said countries dug deep, really deep and compared lots of things.
Was shocked that US people were floored.
For sometime, we enjoyed relative peace from them.

There are Australians in the US working 100%. Australians relocate to the US as many as Americans relocating to Australia. You are able to recognize Americans in Australia based on your comment because of their backpacking culture. It’s difficult to identify white people from New Zealand, England and Australia in the US because they are all white. Unless they tell you where they are from you won’t know. I have seen a couple of them that said they were from New Zealand and Australia. They mix with American whites and take advantage of American white privilege.

Besides, most of the American backpackers you referring to are possibly tourists. Hence why you see them in backpacks for the most part. If you see an American backpacker in public places anywhere around the world, 99% of the time, he is a tourist. Unless you want to tell me you follow them to the place where they are working. Americans spend money on tourism around the world more than any country on earth.
