Uncle Buddy advises every adult in Nigeria to impact on a child in positive ways, in this context his points out that the best book you can give to a child is helping them with values that will make them grow up to be assets to their country; and one of those gifts is the Art of Reading.

If you grew up in places where people around you could not read, you would understand that the inability to read can kill the expression of anyone and make them sadist as they would keep to themselves to avoid being embarrassed and only move in circles where they will not be asked to read or speak in public.

This has killed the sparks in a lot of people and buried their dreams of being stars and in most cases forced them into wrong groups. We do not wish this for children around us; but the truth is that if we don't help these stars of tomorrow in starting to read at early stages of their lives, they will struggle to build the culture/habit of reading and this may lead to more depressed people in our society.

Get a book for a child today and they will not forget you tomorrow.
