African Diabetes and Hypertension Association- Nigeria (ADHA- Nigeria) calls for membership Registration.

[/b]About ADHA Nigeria[b]

ADHA-Nigeria is an Association Registered in Nigeria with Corporate Affairs Commission as an incorporated organization with the registration Numbe CAC/IT/NO 131567, In other to carry out the following.

[/b]Mission[b]

The overall mission of ADHA-Nigeria is to seek the welfare and the wellbeing of the African people living with Diabetes and Hypertension in achieving equitable and efficient African health systems and improved health outcomes for Africans and Nigerians to be specific and especially the most vulnerable populations.

[/b]The objectives of the association are to:[b]

1. Be a forum for awareness and a tool of education for people living with Diabetes and Hypertension in Nigeria and the continent as a whole;

2. Promote health education on Diabetes and Hypertension and retention of health economics capacity within Africa ,with particular emphasis on supporting the needs of Diabetic and Hypertensive individuals;

3. Promote the production and dissemination of high quality research findings on diabetes and hypertension by health workers and officials in Nigeria and the continent at large;

4. Promote the appropriate use of funds and policy analysis tools within evidence-informed health sector decision making in Nigeria ;

5. Support health policy development and advise policy makers and health partners in Nigeria and other African countries for equitable health care financing;

6. Represent the interest of diabetic and hypertensive people in international forums such as the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization, as well as to facilitate communications and relationships between health organizations working in Africa and the broad international network of academic ,scientific and policy experts to foster mutual respect and understanding .

[/b]Requirements for membership[b]

Membership of ADHA-Nigeria is open to :
1. Africans and non-Africans working in Africa or having previously worked in Africa in the fight against Diabetes and Hypertension including students.

2. Institutions and organizations involved in the fight against Diabetes and Hypertension in Nigeria and the continental in general.

3. Individuals and organizations in Nigeria and Africa or elsewhere working in the health and or other sectors who support the objectives of the Association.

[/b]What are the benefits of being a member?[b]

▪Registered members will receive membership IDs and later on training in diabetes and hypertension, in order for them to become educators.

▪Certificates will be issued to trained members.

▪ It is an honor being part of the change makers in our society

▪The community work will also add value to your resume.
