Cow need more than just grass to grow, that's why herdsmen take them to feed on farmers produce. Those herdsmen know what they are doing. If it is just grass that they are looking for, they will not be destroying farms; because no farmers in Nigeria plant grass. Cow need feeds like chicken to actually attain their full economic value. They need to eat lots of corn, Yam, soybeans etc to get good body weight. The reason why Fulani take their cow to Benue and not Nasarawa which is beside Benue is because Benue people plant lots of Yam. They wait for harvest, kill the farmer and feed their cow with the yam. Herdsmen can't operate ranch because they don't want to plant food for their cow. They are thieves and are not ready to work. They belong to prison and not our community. Remember the cows are owned by rich Fulani politician's, government workers etc They pay no tax on the billions of Naira they make monthly. Copied Oduduwa Republic loading 1 Like |
