byrron: I can see you live in USA. Park your car in an army ground and leave? If you were accosted and asked to move it. Will you engage them in an argument while provoking them. You know you cant do that now. They will neutralize you as you are a potential threat. Again to make matters worse, you are a black man. So what are you saying. These people have seen shit in their lives and any small suspicion makes them apprehensive. Abeg no provoke soldier oh. My family stays in Nashville Tennessee. Im in Naija to work. Not living anytime soon. Love ma country die 2 Likes |

Basher8583: Was he accosted and asked to move? Except if you are giving an eyewitness account of what transpired. I can see you have no qualms with such barbaric act even to the point of justifying it. Just like I stated earlier, nothing warrants such inhumane treatment and even if he broke any rules, there are civilized ways of handling such, sadly you are an advocate of a crude and cruel ways of addressing such issues. His car could have been impounded and a fine handed over to him for him to retrieve his car and not by assaulting him. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Basher8583:They might as well down tool because right now they are totally useless only to be forming commando for unarmed civilians. BH is a Northern problem let them keep killing each other, the day they reach my neck of the wood, Nigeria will have cease to exist by then so no need for the incompetent bullies called Nigerian soldiers. 1 Like 1 Share |

Basher8583: It goes both ways sir. Are you trying to tell me that you’ve not see so many omo pastor and omo disciplinarian living extremely wayward life?? I believe in disciplining a child in such a way where he’s ready for the real world. Financial discipline. If s/he wants a ps4, s/he has to was my car and polish my shoes everyday for 6 months Emotional discipline: always talk about how you feel and listen when others speak. Academic discipline: coming top 3 in class earns you a vacation. Active follow up on academic grades to help him/her improve. Physical discipline; this is my least preferred method but sometimes a good spankng can smoothen things out but becomes ineffective when that child passes the age of 10. Anyway, people can’t give what they don’t have do I don’t blame parents that utilize excessive physical discipline without understanding the long lasting emotional and mental scar it leaves on the child. We can do better.. 4 Likes |

Am sure they must have ordered the man to take his vehicle away at once but he will be forming 'I know rule of law'. Also, parking in front or around a military barrack or gate will surely invite trouble especially when you dnt belong to any sister military arm. P.S Naval attacking a civilian with cutlass is somehow, plus those wounds doesn't look like a cutlass wound but series of punches. 1 Like |

First off, it is a shame they assaulted him. However, you have to minimise your interaction with military people because nothing good trends to come out of it. Don't park near their barracks, say sir to them regardless of any provocation. These guys could be drunk or angry about Lord knows what at any particular moment, they shoot you down and claim you were trying to infiltrate their barracks. A life is lost and life goes on. Even if they court martial them, it won't bring a lost life back. Maybe they rudely told him to move his car in front of his friends and he reacted to save face, na guardroom straight. I don't think they are so bloodthirsty to harass anyone for no reason, for a flimsy reason, yes. 1 Like |

shogsman:in u.s a for example, there is nothing whatsoever one can do to warrant beating from army officers. this is a case of aggravated assault and battery and if this should be in the u s the guy can take this up and 100,000 activists and lawyers will be protesting and calling for the discharge of the officers involved you know why, they are human beings guided by a constitution and for every offence there's a law. Let's assume u parked your car in a no parking zone, you will be there they will impound it and take it to their garage and bill you sharp sharp. If u pay finish to drive that car again go de fear u. It's not that way here u know why, we are over 200 million wild animals in jungle of wild forest full of predators and preys with no constitution and no rule of law and just plainly stupid. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nostradamus: Don't quote me wrong pls, nothing to derive from beating someone, especially person u are bond to protect....but bro no country disrespect their soldiers like Nigeria, av been to Belarus for counter-terrorist training, believe me soldiers are like their small god, civilian are d one feeding us throughout the course because of the love they av for us. When war break-out soldiers will be call upon to come and fight the terro before invading the innocent civilian and some will die in d process....is there any sacrifice more than that? Value and respect those who protect u cos God will not come down to protect you...even in d days of prophets, soldiers are every nation's priority because of the utmost sacrifice they provides, if u respect someone surely the person must reciprocate. |
