The skin is the largest outer covering organ
of the body, made up of multiple layers of
tissues. It guards and protects the internal
organs and systems of the body from outer
pathogens.

Skin diseases is a term used for different kinds of skin disorder caused by many internal and external factors. Like allergies, irritants, genetic makeup, environment hazards, bacterial, certain diseases, and immune system problems.

Skin disorders vary greatly in symptoms and severity. They can be temporary or permanent, and may be painless or painful. Some have situational causes, while others may be genetic. Some skin conditions are minor, and others can be life-threatening.

While most skin disorders are minor, others can indicate a more serious issue. Contact your doctor if you think you might have one of these common skin problems. We will discuss more on this in our next article.
