I came across this interview of a "former" American lady done by Mo Abudu.

Her answers were very profound especially what whe says about upbringing of children.

Her statement about the American culture of not greeting people is spot on though I think it is a recent fad and result of the erosion of their values. For instance, in the past men would tip their hats or bow their head slightly and at least say "Ma'am" when they pass a woman. You would be considered prudish if you practised such today.

We should preserve what we have so we don't become like them who now want to be like us.

If only we would appreciate what we have and who we are.
