Owaincouncil:Not only teachers, it cut across all civil servants grade level 8 and above, more than 23 months half salaries debt is yet to be paid. You are making mistake that he will Islamize Nigeria. He is not a good muslim to that level because no governor in Nigeria promote idol worshiper like him. He is a Cuba pilgrimager. 2 Likes |

johnmartus: It so unfortunate that i wasn't awere of this trende as earlier. I am a living testimony any one that supports Aregbesola to be made as a minister of Education must check his or her brain or should be taking to psychiatric. The function of any government is to put in place an infrastructure facility in all sectors and this does not translate to good policies. Making Aregbesola as minister of Education will jeopardized education sector. Aregbesola is the worst things to ever happen to osun state education. Aside tbe infrastructure facilities , he lack good policies that will foster the the system. Should we talk of then common school uniform, lack indicipline among the students as results of his poor policies that forbide teachers from dealing with the students. Poor payment of salary which can motivate teaching skill, lack of teachers on job training. Aside at secondary level you can not felt or site any Aregbesola contribution on their tertiary institution. Inadequate qualified personnel at the tertiary institution. Mind you i was fortunate to under study a caurse of their institutions also a current serving corp members in of their secondary school. Am also from south west oyo state particularly. I can categorically stated that osun state education is not what write about . The policies are so poor and lack merit. I will suggest if any work to be assigned for Aregbesola, he should be giving ministers for works i think he good in that aspects and one work felt his impact in that sectors accross the state . But for education PMB should not make that mistake at alll unless they want the total collapse of our education. Ire oooo 1 Like |

Elemosho478: Insulting people u can't see online reeks of lack of character n self esteem. Anyway to address ur mirage assertions. Yes that's true that teachers do interfer in Anambra. But pls kindly tell us a state in nigeria where teachers have not been caught assisting students during extermination?? I'm from east, brought up in middle belt, schooled (sec n university) in north east, worked n served in North west, have business between NE n SW. I'm currently residing n running my company in SW. I've seen it all. Teachers get involved everywhere just like corruption is manifested everywhere in Nigeria, both in mosques n churches. If u think a state or region is advancing in external exams as a result of teachers interference, sorry, you are deceiving yourself period. I'll praise Obi because he tried but I can never really say same of Obiano. In ibadan u can easily lose ur job as a teacher in a private school, if u refuse to teach students during exams. Even my family friend came under much pressure to teach students during exams from school mgt in a Baptist college, so Meanwhile, doing my ssce in NE, it was an external supervisor on his own decided to start teaching students during exams. Because my school had a Dutch as manager n will never allow any teacher close to the exam halls during their subjects. The man just couldn't comprehend why we had to be on our own during, which was never d case in govt school he came from?? So why is Oyo state still languishing in poor position in waec n jamb 3xams with all d teachers interference Hate Obi, that's ok, but don't deny his successes, he revolutionized education in Anambra, not by just building structures. Understudy his methods n do same u will have same results period. Never give reasons for ur failures n that of ur political leaders especially. They don't give a hoot about u, never !!! They will rather give out contracts to build structures because of d huge kickbacks n commissions rather than painstakingly bringing about solutions in our educational challenges. After all their children will school abroad. Example, is after Aso clinic was accused of not having string , pcm n working x-tray machine. With a budget of over 3b. Did see ur president n Vp querying, sacking or even investigating any one there. Simple he and his wards never use the facility. U can remain there giving excuses for the failures of ur leaders, while others are leaving u behind. How did Gombe, jigawa n Borno build massive structures with equipments for their sec n pri schools. If not by consistently assessing Ubec counterpart funds. Apart from Ondo n legos, which other SW states have been able to do so?? How can Kwara with more than 20b Paris fund, not pay 400m counterpart refunds, hence have been blacklisted from the funds for more than 4yrs. So never excuse d failures of our leaders |

Aregbe disrupted the educational system completely. He might have a good motive but the implementation was shitty. Most of the schools he built were not commissioned. The ones commissioned were in the state capital, Osogbo so people can commend. The other buildings he wasted money on were dormant and not functional. To worsen the situation, he called for the unification of uniforms all through the state. They looked like glorified apprentice. You could not differentiate one school from the other. Quite disheartning 1 Like |

Carlyscales: I am from South West and I can boldly tell you that it is only some privates school that engage in malpractice, Public schools don't engage in it because they have nothing to gain but when it come to South East it is both Public and Private schools If you want to pass WAEC through malpractice in South West, you have to do it through some private schools but with Public schools it is impossible |

MudRaker:You're just being emotional right now. Osun is not rich economically, the government his poor, in fact we have very few rich people in that state ,but you hardly find a poor man in that state, almost everyone just average, apart from Ilesha people wey get small billionaires .....osun people ain't poor .....and on the topic ...anambra's commissioner for education should given the position. |
Re: Should Rauf Aregbesola Be Minister Of Education? by plaindealer: 1:27am On Jul 25, 2019 |
gaskiyamagana: Teachers are not motivated, but students are performing better.. It is the other way around, you are not making any sense. Btw, you know they are not motivated because you walked around Osun state with paper and pencil to personally ask them or you are just on the internet making up your own story? |
Re: Should Rauf Aregbesola Be Minister Of Education? by plaindealer: 2:05am On Jul 25, 2019 |
MudRaker: To start with, we are talking about credible facts and stats articulating improvements in academic results and this one is talking about beggars? Why is it so hard for you people to articulate rational and sensible points? This is how you people fail WAEC. We are talking about A and this one that can not read and comprehend is talking about B. Osun state is definitely not the best when it comes to good academic results due to decades of lack of care and concern by governors and leaders before Aregbesola, but since assuming office, students are doing better and results are on the positive side instead of pre Argbesola negative results. Shout and yell till eternity that they have poor academic results in Osun state, I won't argue otherwise, but you can not sell that hogwash that Argbesola did not invest in education, that there was no positive turn around or even that students did not benefit from his massive investments in Education because facts and stats don't lie. Hatred and ignorance shouldn't be the basis for your thoughts, try facts next time. |
