The recent conduct of aptitude test for financial analyst recruitment by Chevron was remarkable indeed when compared with the treatment that I got from Mobil in the July 4,2009 aptitude test.

At Mobil angry we were kept chattering for hours in the hot sun with no one deeming it fit to explain the cause of the delay. The verification process was worse than rush hour at the then Oshodi. The worse part I have not found anybody laying claim to having passed the test.

But at Chevron grin, every consideration was given to the applicant. We had been divided into batches to make the test easier, as soon as we arrived we were directly escorted to airconditioned halls and the whole process was quite enjoyable.Chevron showed us its humane side and I appreciated it.
Yes we are applicants but we are definitely not road side beggars.
Everyone knows the Nigeria that is and the Nigeria that we would all love it to be.
For me Mobil is the past while Chevron is the future.
I just pray Chevron now maintains its credibility to the last and ensure that some applicants get the job purely on merit.
