A man identified simply as Moses, Tuesday, fell to his death from the top floor of the Edo State High Court, sending panic in the area, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV learnt that the deceased fell from the 10th floor of the building when he tried using a faulty elevator which had been removed for repairs.

A source said the deceased, who was a visitor in the court, had gone through a door he thought would lead to the toilet and fell to his death.

A relative of the 65-year-old told newsmen that they were in the court room together waiting for a lawyer when Moses went out to ease himself.

According to him, after waiting for several hours, he decided to check when he heard noise outside only for him to find Moses’ motionless body.

He blamed the contractor for Moses death, saying there was no sign that the place is a no go area.

Contacted, Spokesman for the Edo State Police Command, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, who confirmed the incident, told Igbere TV that some staff of the High Court have been invited for questioning.

Similarly, a middle-aged woman, Mary, who identified herself as a niece of the deceased, said justice must be served on the matter.

Is it that they cannot put a sign that says 'ELEVATOR OUT'or what exactly?!

This is a very cruel way to die.

yes very sound and I know what am saying ,I lived there for some years before I left yhe country , it's the way they think and behave , even if he isn't sure he should have asked that's the normal for anyone who's new to a facility like that instead of assuming.
2 . There was no signage warning ro keep off the elevator shafts as it was out of service , gross ignorance, that area should have been barred.
I am ok am of a sound mind , so I beg your question ? Are you ok?
