Sen Ahmed Lawan is proving what he signed with his party members; total protection from public scrutiny. We have not seen anything yet.

And Lawan said he is not a rubber stamp.

Minister screening is not meant to witch hunt. This is someone you don't get to talk to in your house everyday. It provides an avenue to learn from the work they have done and what they plan to do next. It is a debate to create development across all spheres but Senate threw this opportunity away

Silver spoon at the detriment of others right?

Eziokwugbaoto:
Did they prevent you from going overseas Mind you God doesn't answer such mediocre prayer. Leave their children out of the equation they were just fortunate to be born with Silver spoon. You can make a name for yourself even if you don't have an influential father.

Niaja4real:

Assuming u can listen to yourself u would have notice how uninspiring u sound.
So because u had pass your first semester examination so well, the school authority should exempt you from writing any further examination again till u graduate.
I've said it on this forum time & again that, Nigeria's problems is not the leaders, but the followers.

God should punish them because their children are abroad and we are the ones suffering huh? God should rather punish them because they've sinned against humanity and not because they want the best for their children. If you were in their shoes you won't give your children the best okwia?

NB: Doing that at the detriment of others is what I will never support any day any time but most of us are crying foul simply because we are at the receiving end. Put that person in that same office and they will do worse.
Everyday I pray and ask God for the grace to uphold my integrity if I find myself in any elective position.

The truth is, giving my child the best and watching other people's children is something i won't do.
Forget that if you're given the opportunity thingy cos it doesn't work for everyone." even in the so called cabal, there are the sincere ones whose kids are in Nigeria schooling.

Take for instance the governor who increased school fees of his state without minding, if his kids were in that schools would he do same? if his kids or their kids schooled in Nigeria would they watch ASUU go on an unending strike?

How many of their kids complete or even go for NYSC? yet the children of the poor die daily. During elections how many of their kids do you see queuing to vote? infact how many of their wives do you see?

You can easily tell a corrupt person by the small position he or she holds.

Integrity matters alot but our leaders have all sold theirs.

I'm impressed with the fact that you can't give your kids the best and ignore others around.

In your earlier post you beckoned God to come deal with all of them and you also pointed out the fact that all their children are overseas how come there are now sincere ones who have their children in Nigerian schools. grin You are speaking from both sides of your mouth and obviously contradicting your earlier assertion. ( If you'd still quote me I'd like you to address that).

You will quite agree with me that increment of school fees has been there from time immemorial and also happens in other climes. The problem I have with our own down here is that the educational sector doesn't get any better even after increasing the fees times two. And they do that without having the poor masses at heart. In developed societies you tell the parents the extraordinary thing you are planning to achieve and why the increment is coming at that particular time. The issue of ASUU is something I don't want to delve into 'cos many factors contribute to extended strikes in Nigeria, some lecturers' greed inclusive. Let's leave it at that 'cos I tend to get emotional when I remember the state of our education.

You don't expect their children to survive in camp given the high life they are already used to and the unpleasant condition of our NYSC camps. Don't get it twisted I'm not trying to make a case for anybody just stating the obvious. Our election periods are more like war times and they sure know that releasing their children and family without heavy security trailing behind them would be likened to a suicide mission because they know they've failed the system and the masses might vent their frustration on their families.
My worry is that our youths submit themselves to be used and dumped by them during elections. If every Tom , Dick and Harry knew their worth they (the politician) will come to the realisation that it's no longer business as usual and only your achievements can be able to get you into any other office once your tenure expires but it's quite appalling that the same "us" suffering would still elect them into government offices and the elected ones would pick their kinds to head different ministries and parastatals.

I understand your earlier post was borne out of emotion. I feel like that sometimes but I quickly remind myself that the government of the day doesn't have the affairs of the common man at heart and anything legit I can do to help my life I better do it and I hope you do so too. *kisses*

In all honesty? God should punish them... As in chukwu kpo ha oku.
And of course, the greedy fools.

Cantonese:

Question: What questions might they ask him.

Answer: 1. Several bordering on looting of the treasury in Rivers state during his tenure.

2. Using the security agencies in Rivers state to cause chaos

3. Why does he roll his eyes like that. Is he a frog?

Do you know Rivers state?

Nearly all schools, health centers and good roads in Rivers state were built under Amaechi.

It is not enough to make allegations against people without proofs.

Did any senator from Rivers state try to insist on questioning Amaechi during the ministerial screening?
