The family of a mentally-ill man, Kehinde Sodiq, who was wrongly accused of kidnapping his sister’s son, Ahmed, has demanded fair dealing for the torture he was subjected to.

Kehinde was allegedly grief-stricken by Ahmed’s father, Taye, and a fixed belief adherent, identified just as Baba Olomitutu, in the Amukoko topic of Ifelodun resident board maturity sphere of Lagos State.

Kehinde’s twin sister, Taiwo, accused her enstranged husband, Taye, of via candle wax, fiery charcoal and sweltering iron to burn him till he became unconscious.

It was learnt that the torture, which seemingly scratched the fingers on Kehinde’s accurate hand, was destined to compel him to relate Ahmed’s whereabouts.

After Kehinde became unconscious, the accused were understood to exhibit mobilised hoodlums to walk out on him on Akintimoye avenue in the Amukoko region of the state, on Sunday, June 16, 2019.

An eyewitness, Samuel Akinnibinu, told blow Metro that five armed hoodlums dumped Kehinde in frontage of his accommodation and missing him for dead, tally that in a try to rescue the victim, who was however breathing, he reported the fight at the Amukoko patrol rank and got go-ahead to hold him to hospital.

Akinnibinu said, “We primarily philosophy that he was dead, but after I stimulated faster to him, I experiential that he was static breathing and lathered substances were imminent out of his mouth.
