Dude, you need to understand use of words better. Your are local to where you live, irrespective of status or wealth. Musa no longer lives in Bukuru and not local to Bukuru anymore. His old friends and neighbours who still live around there remain locals. Whether they also now have lots
money or not.

In that same Nigeria, many who have made money in Lagos, Abj or PH do not go to their village or poor areas they grew up in anymore. Same with some Nigerians visiting from abroad. They are afraid of "village people".
