The University of Abuja have launched her first ever STUDENT EMPLOYEMENT SCHEME. This great innovation was brought into actualization by the newly appointed Vice Chancellor (Prof. Abdulrasheed Na'Allah).

In a Press statement by the Students Union Government P.R.O (Comr. Ozioma Oguine), he firstly applauded the Vice Chancellor for his foresight and his resilience in ensuring that the University and her students become the best in Nigeria. He further stated that the Scheme will go a long way in improving students technical, industrial expertise and experience.

He narrated that:

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na”Allah at his first visit to the Unit on the 2nd July, 2019 pronounced renaming the SIWES Unit as Centre for Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme and Student Employment (CSSE) with the introduction of the Student Employment Scheme and charged the Centre with an additional responsibility of coordinating work placement for students within the University.
