The floating hotel. They spent millions of dollars bringing that boat in, only to abandon it! That's the boat on the Island, near bonny camp. It was supposed to be used as a cruise boat/restaurant/hotel etc, but it's not operational. Those who know the story, know the story!
How sad!

I wonder why these ignorant olodo are asking the the Lagos state government this silly question and not the real owners?
Re: Why Did Lagos Govt Abandon The Floating Hotel? by AloyEmeka5: 1:08am On Oct 16, 2010
Yes, the real owners are richer than Dangote because I wonder which Nigerian or foreigner who will spend $40M on a project like that only to abandon it entirely. The deal  has NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT written all over it. No matter how much Fashola and his cronies deny it, that deal was a fraudulent buy and they are stuck with it. All these private investor story is akin to Redeem private jet bought by the friends of Adeboye. Go preach to the choir with that forged story.

Ode ignorance is running your mouth and making up your own story about what you know nothing about.

The owners of the Yatch are still in court fighting against themselves. They are also fighting the state for trying to move the Yatch out of Lagos state.

Educate yourself before shooting your illiterate mouth all over the place.

N4.5b Sunburn Yatch: Court Restrains Lagos From Moving Vessel – Daily Independent

October 20, 2009 by Bunmi Awolusi

A Federal High Court in Lagos has restrained the state government and Multi-Purpose Infrastructural Development Company (MIDC) from moving the vessel containing the Sunburn Yatch Hotel out of Lagos pending the determination of a suit filed by Loneseed Nigeria.

Justice Binta Murtala-Nyako made the order while ruling on an experte application brought by Loneseed, which sued the Attorney General and Justice Commissioner, Supo Sasore Tourism Commissioner, Tokunbo Afikuyomi and MIDC alleging breach of agreement on the N4.5 billion Yacht Hotel deal.

Loneseed averred that Diamond Capital and Financial Markets Limited (a subsidiary of Diamond Bank) acquired 99.9 per cent of its shares to buy Yatch Hotel, and that Ugo Otuonye owns the remaining one per cent.

According to the plaintiff, sometime in 2007, MIDC approached Diamond Bank to fund the acquisition of the floating hotel, and the initial concept was that MIDC would work with the state government to participate in the project by contributing equity in the form of infrastructure and land.

Didn't you claim before that the hands of Lagos state government is not in the deal?. What are they doing here as co-defendants?

obviously, ignorance and illiteracy is not your only problem, you have  reading and comprehension problem too. The state is a co defendant because the state is trying to move that crap out of Lagos like any other abandoned junk messing up our beautiful marina and they are seeking injunction from the court to prevent the state from moving that junk which the state will do eventualy if the owners don't get their acts together, not because the state is the owner like you ignorantly claimed, the article spelled everything out for you, but you are too slow to figure it out and too shallow to comprehend basic reading.
