My soul wait for the Almighty,
My knees sit before his throne.
My stomach is empty,
But my appetite is gone.
My mouth is filled with words-
Words only meant for my saviour ears.
Listen to me dear Lord.
Listen, before my faith is drowned by fears.
I stay awake all night in prayer.
Sleep slips my eyes,
Food has become to my mouth a stranger,
As my tongue longs to taste your presence.
I crave for your touch-
The touch that makes something happen.
My faith may not be much,
It can't be compared to Daniel's in lions Den.
I have heard of Grace -
A word crowned with possibilities.
With it, the slow can win a race
And the weak win battles beyond their abilities.
David and Solomon can testify of your grace,
How it brought them out of the Huts of history shame,
And made blessed all their life days.
Come now, dear Lord and give me the same.
Write my name among the favoured.
Count me among the chosen.
And make me one of the many blessed.
Then, I will give the best of my gift in Thanksgiving.
