EPISODE 6
Love at first sight II.

INT. CLIVE HOUSE – CONTINUOUS - DAY
The Infinity drives into the massive compound and stops. Clive steps down of the car with frowns looking around. He walks into the building.

INT. CLIVE HOUSE
Clive walks into the living room looking around and dialing his phone, he listens.

CLIVE
Dad? I thought you said I’ll meet you here. Where are you?
(listens)
Okay.

He hangs up and walks in.

INT. MALL – DAY
CLEVE DANIELS, 49yr old man is shopping. He’s on JEANS AND T-SHIRT WITH A FACE CAP COVERING HIS FACE. It looks like that’s an intention.

INT. MALL (ANOTHER SECTION) (CONTINUOUS FRM THE BABY SHOWER SCN)
Winifred and Vera are shopping. Vera peeks and smiles at her every minute. Winifred sees her.

WINIFRED
What?

VERA
(grins)
I knew Tina’s the only one who could bring you out.

WINIFRED
So you feel like flying now? Go away.

Vera laughs and Winifred chuckles.
TWO LADIES ON face caps see Cleve

LADY #1
Is that not Cleve Daniels?

Lady #2 tries to see his face but in vain.

LADY#2
I’m not sure.

LADY#1
Let’s move closer.

They walk to his side and pretend to be shopping. The ladies position themselves at his sides so that wherever he looks at, one will see his face. It seems Cleve suspects and hides his face more. Lady#2 tries taking a sneak peek under his face cap. Cleve hides his face every time she tries but he doesn’t succeed. She sees him and goes to the other lady happily.

LADY #2
Yes, he’s the one.

LADY#1
(happy)
It’s him. I need an autograph.

LADY #2
And a picture.

He suspects they’ve seen him and starts to make his move away from there but they stop him; they rush to him.

LADY#1
Cleve Daniels?

CLEVE
(surrenders)
Yes?

LADY#1
Please can we have your autograph?

LADY #2
And a picture together.

Cleve turns and smiles at them and he willing signs on their caps and takes a picture with them. His eyes stray to Winifred and he’s taken by her charm instantly. Vera sees Cleve.

VERA
Is that not Cleve Daniels?

Winifred looks back.

VERA
(jests)
I should pay him homage you know-- as in-laws.

WINIFRED
(looks at her)
Are you for real?

Winifred and Cleve’s eyes meet; Cleve greets her with a slight bow and she reciprocates.

WINIFRED
(to Vera)
Common let’s go.

She drags Vera by the wrist and they start to walk away. Cleve watches her as they walk away then he dusts off whatever thought running through his mind.

INT. CLIVE HOUSE:LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS - DAY
Cleve walks in with a bottle of Napoleon and a wrapped package

CLEVE(V.O)
Son? Son where are you?

Clive emerges – he’s now dressed down -

CLIVE
(happy)
Dad.

CLEVE
Common, give your pop man a hug.

They hug happily.
