The question is..... since they can sandfill the construction site for heavy trucks to move materials, why can't they just sandfill that very place and build the road on it without building the bridge?

Won't it save more than building the bridge? undecided

They can't as it will lead to flooding of the communities along the banks. You can block the path of water

And if you notice, they aren't blocking the entire path of the river, just a section. When they want to build the other part, they will open the one they blocked.

Yes. If it was financing, your idea would be easier and save a whole lot of time, energy and resources but it cant happen

Is this how bridges are constructed on expanded rivers and lagoons?

I have always wondered how third mainland bridge was built. Do the engineers have to sand-fill every now and then before they can complete it?

And they still hate Buhari. What your brother Goatluck could not do for 5.5 wated years, what your party PDP could not do for 16 miserable years, your enemy, the Fulani herdsman called Buhari is doing it. May God not make us beg our enemy for food. The money in imPatience Jonathan accounts can build this bridge.

Considerations;
1. Boats and ships navigation
2. High volume of water and tidal effect

Are these not same pictures that have been circulating the cyber space for over 3 years now? Why is this bridge being used for Politics always? When will this bridge ever pass Pillar like level?

Those pillars you are seeing , in a lay man language, they are over 30 story building depth below the water. And the pillars are more than 50 in number.

Every other region celebrates the construction work that goes on there.

If PMB can tackle the Fulani herdsmen and other security wahala, PDP will have nothing else to campaign with so that they can be relegated to the dustbin of history. PDP knows this that is why security is not likely to improve as that is the only ace they have up their sleeves.

Yes they can...by placing very many large pipes below the constructed road to allow for water flow

The river needs to flow.... Blocking that flow would lead to massive flooding in the region....

While you're deceiving them with a bridge pls don't fail to tell them that you're not funding the bridge but a toll will be placed on the bridge for at least 50years to refund the company funding the bridge..... #StayWokeNaija
