The presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has decried the alleged wanton deaths of Nigerian soldiers and the abysmal coverup of the incident by the Nigerian military. Atiku was reacting to a Wall Street Journal investigative report alleging that over 1,000 Nigerian soldiers were killed by Boko Haram and buried secretly by the Nigerian Army to hide their unabating losses from the insurgents.
