Is there hope for this country at all... A revolution can only occur where there is unity in purpose. But Nigeria is too diverse on culture and beliefs that it's virtually impossible to successfully carry out something like this. Just see some comments on nairaland about what ipob did and what afonja didn't do and how arewa are this and that then you'll understand what saying. MURIC is at loggerheads with CAN every now and then. I'm afraid, we will be in this situation for a very long time until we have learned our lesson. Rwanda learned the hard way and made a change, now they have one of the best African leaders. Finally, a country always gets the leadership it deserves.

This is just an ego trip.

POLITICSNIGERIA.COM

Information reaching the POLITICS NIGERIA newsdesk this morning reveals that some officers of the Nigerian Police Force fired teargas at #RevolutionNow Protesters in Lagos.

The protesters had converged in front of Yaba Stadium to protest against the growing spate of insecurity and other issues in the country when the policemen struck. It will be recalled that the convener of the Protest, Omoyele Sowore has since been arrested by the Department of State Security, DSS.

Watch the video below;

https://politicsnigeria.com/breaking-police-fire-teargas-at-revolutionnow-protesters-arrest-several-photos/

From 2009 till date the police and army could not deal with boko haram. Nowadays the army barracks have become playground for boko haram fighters while the army has always run away. Their excuse as always "superior weapons". So far the police has not achieved anything against herdsmen. We hear that policemen FLEE on sighting herdsmen. Same story gradually going about IMN.

Now look at them pursuing armless men and women.

All those undeclared terrorist groups are just a very small fraction of the population of Nigeria. What will happen in the event that the people join in force and have a popular revolution?

What is this country turning into?Country where the citizen does not have any right.

No one has a right to topple an existing government by revolution. Next time let Sowore work on getting more votes. I'm not a Buhari apologist, I wish Atiku had won but it wasn't meant to be, doesn't mean one idiot should now cause war in the country for any reason.

The Igbos: they say this is not their fight, it is the fight of the yorubas. Like as if when they came together as Biafra they could defeat Nigeria ...they don't know the meaning of allies

The Afonjas: they are online hailing their master Buhari and his fulani cabal for anything he does, whereas their own people are being slaughtered on a daily
they curse Obasanjo (their son) for talking against their fulani masters

they curse Yinka Odumakin (their son) for talking against their fulani masters

they curse Wole Soyinka (arguably one of the best minds from their soil) for talking against their fulani masters

they curse Fani-Kayode (their son) for talking against their fulani masters

they curse Sowore (their son) for talking against their fulani masters

they even curse their fellow brethren who are being tear-gassed in the protest for talking against their fulani masters
Zombies.

Sane minds are trying to Stoke the fire of real change in the nation, dumb, dampened and low-life spirited folks who have never known the meaning of living (they are just existing) are in their comfort cowardly zone saying trash against the protest

A protest that's is designed to give the nation a bright future as against a stupid government hell bent on taking the nation through the 1960s
angry

Nigerian youths are full-fledged Cowards that doesn't deserve anything
For once in your pathetic lives leave your shit hole and go abroad and experience what living is like ...what it feels to have rights ...what it feels to know your place in a nation
..
IS THAT ALL? CLAP FOR YOURSELF....

Police are just playing into the hands of the protesters, if they continue like this the protest will get international recognition (the copyrighted BBC photos above says it all) and of course public sympathy, by then it'll be too late cos more and more people will come out even more angrier.

And even if it does get international recognition, the revolutionaries will be tagged with names like violent protesters, jobless youths, and everything bad (Iran, Libya). And if revolution is in their interest, they will be tagged freedom fighters, a yearn for democracy and citing UN mandates on the right of people to self-governance and determination (Hong Kong).

It is in the interest of the international community for Nigeria to remain divided, as it guarantees their economical interest is served smoothly. Also, your politicians are nothing more than stooges, political prostitutes and gatekeepers of the corporation (Neo-colonialism) called Nigeria.

It's not about SOWORE but about all Nigerians. He doesn't want to become a president but to say no to some Governmental policies and operations. It will make the Government wake up but this our government is allergic to criticism. Fear of losing power. Why?
