The opinions or signatures were not required. The two territories were deemed to be under the British monarch. As the "owner" of the territories, the queen could decide whether to almagamate her territories to form a single territory. They were all "captured territories" according to the mind set and practise of the colonial masters.

You just make some valid points bro, it was the Queen's decision to do what she likes in her conquered territories, but how come about the 100 years agreement of coexistence that was purportedly expired in 2014?

After the abolition of slave trade in 1807,the British came to nïgér ärea to ensure compliance. they signed treaties with our kings in exchange for constant supply of commodities such as dry gin etc .The British then presented the treaty at the Berlin conference of 1885. This automatically made them the owner of Nigeria.

The amalgamation was never signed because it was not an agreement. The amalgamation was a declaration that the North and south protectorate had been merged together to create a country called Nigeria

That's the day we Igbos entered "one chance" bus to find our selves in the same country with Yorubas and Hausa/Fulani

Here is another inane question that has been beaten to death.
The OP knew the answer so what's the point?
Perhaps like other secessionists, the OP believes that this question will
convert other Nigerians to secessionist cause.

I believe I read somewhere that it was Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther that made the British take charge of affairs in Nigeria in order to ensure compliance to the abolishment of slave trading. He had a meeting with Queen Victoria's husband then to plan it.
