It’s like we are about to a see a major upgrade from Samsung for the Galaxy S11. This is the flagship smartphone which will integrate the newly launched 108-megapixel sensor. The latter, however, will come first with Xiaomi.

The Korean tech giant has developed the Isocell Bright HMX sensor to bring high-end camera specifications to its high-end smartphones. Nevertheless, another smartphone maker will introduce it first. The Chinese company, Xiaomi has revealed that it will launch a phone with Samsung’s camera sensor on it by the end of the year.

Samsung will continue using 12mp for their flagships.


108mp will be for their 2020 A series mid range phones like A70, A80 or A90.

Who cares

The only problem I have with them is their expensive parts .

This is bullshit and this marketing strategy is just to rip people off their hard earned money... It's obvious there's a limit to the number of pixel difference the human eye can decipher when it comes to picture quality... This is similar to the Advent of all these so called 8k graphics televisions here and there...
As far as mobile phones go.. anything beyond 40mp is a scam except it's coupled with multiple lens for lossless zoom or focus...
And as for TV screens and PC. Anything beyond 4k is rubbish as well...

But then this is the modern day world where technology is the new oil and gas..

It's useless
They will still put a battery of 3000mah, and ram of 8 or a 16g and storage of 1terabytes and other high specs that will be drainin the small battery , instead of also increasing the battery capacity
