Abeokuta – The Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has expressed deep shock at the demise of one of its chieftains, Chief Musibau Odeyemi

Engr. Adebayo Dayo, the Chairman of the party in the state, described Chief Odeyemi's death as a huge loss to his family, his party and Egbaland.

In a statement issued in Abeokuta on Monday, Engr. Dayo said: ”The passing away of High Chief Odeyemi is a huge loss to his family, our party and Egbaland.

"He is one of the founding fathers of PDP in Ogun state. He is a dedicated party man and a community leader who contributed immensely to the electoral success of the party between 2003-2011. We have lost a political juggernaut and a community leader.

"Our deep sympathy and condolences to his family. I hope and pray that God grants his family the strength to carry on and continue with those legacies he lived for."

The late Odeyemi joined his creator on Sunday, 18th August 2019, in Abeokuta. He was 79 year old.

He has since be buried according to Islamic rites.
