The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the last presidential election, Atiku Abubakar have lost an appeal they filed at the Supreme Court. The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) had earlier ruled that the PDP and Atiku do not have a reply to an application filed on May 14, 2019 by the All Progressives Congress (APC) seeking among others, the dismissal of their (Atiku and the PDP) case challenging President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory at the last presidential election. Ruling on the appeal marked SC/738/2019 on Tuesday, a five-man panel of the apex court led by Justice Datijo Mohammed, states that the appeal had become statute barred, and hence struck it out.
