Junior Art and Animations Director

Therefore, we are recruiting to fill our Junior Art and Animations Director position to support the growth of our firm.

Job Description
• Study design briefs and determine requirements
• Participate in brainstorming activities to support internal and client teams in developing innovative ideas for marketing campaigns
• Read scripts and storylines to understand animation requirements
• Develop storyboards for the initial stages of production
• Create models, drawings and illustrations by hand or electronically
• Develop illustrations, edit images and layouts to bring ideas to life using relevant design software
• Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design; and ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• Test graphics across various media
• Schedule projects and define budget constraint
• Ensure synchronization of frames and audio
• Participate in editing process
• Collaborate with production crew (designers, directors etc.)
• Produce both 2D and 3D images to support creative projects

Location
The role is based in Lagos, Nigeria

Qualifications
• Outstanding communication, creative and artistic skills
• Proficient in Adobe's Photoshop, QuarkXPress or InDesign and Illustrator software
• Have a foundation degree, HND or degree in graphic design or equivalent
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of image-editing packages such as Photoshop
• Graduate degree from leading institution with 2 - 4 years of experience with a creative or experiential Agency
• Proficient in developing 3D graphics, floor plans and basic animations
• Ability to use animation and video editing software.
• Professional member of APCON
• Interactive content, multimedia animation, comic strips, comic books, and graphic novels is also a plus
