Again, I am not surprised at the incompetence of government agencies under this government. First they now willfully violate accounting rules by deliberately refusing to submit fiscal reports; MDAs without audited reports have increased from 148 in 2014 to 323 in 2018; financial indiscipline is on the increase and yet they still lose what little competence they might have had before this time.
How can they rubbish the tax credibility and standing of a company like GIGM without exercising proper care and caution? GIGM should be ready to sue FIRS for malicious publication and defamation if they don't quickly respond and retract their publication.

shocked shocked

Only an illiterate can say that he is fighting corruption without transparency as its foundation.
Who are the people hailing such an illiterate, incompetent leader looter
Corruption is worse and growing under barawo bubu and his 40 thieves cabal.

“That the above stated Account name with Zenith Bank GOD IS GOOD MOTORS(VEHICLE SALESS A/C) is not a different Company nor a subsidiary of our company stated above, rather it is the same company but with a modified account name for ease of reconciling our transactions."

I am sure you are too smart not to see that there is an issue between GIGM and FIRS from above bold statement from GIGM. Most of these companies open and present to the government, one account into which they allow few transactions of their company to pass through while another account is open with either slight difference in name or completely different from the one declared and known to the government, this secret account house their major transactions.
Don't think everyone on nairaland is as dumb as yourself.

Lol! But GIGM are systematically saying.... Even if they are defaulting, they should be served a prior notice before the publishing of their names, that could only mean one thing though....

They stated categorically and without equivocation that they are up-to-date till the financial/taxation cycle ends this year. There is no other interpretation. The requirement for notification is a patriotic duty on the part of GIGM to teach FIRS their job and powers since it appears they have forgotten. Publishing any tax defaulters list is part of the procedure for enforcement and there are preconditions that must statutorily be met before FIRS can invoke its powers to 'name and shame'.
Re: GIGM To FIRS: Expunge Our Name From List Of Tax Defaulters by freeze001(f): 11:13am On Aug 22, 2019
It is not just about simply presenting documents as you so myopically expect. That publication by the FIRS is a dent on the credibility of hard-won businesses like GIGM and no stone must be left upturned in making sure that such malicious publication is withdrawn provided the subject (GIGM) is up-to-date and ought not to have been so target ted by FIRS in the first instance.

I am sure you have no idea of the importance of public image and perception especially for private businesses like this because your issues start and end at BMC pay outs and suya roast.
