BREAKING: Joshua Vs Ruiz World Heavyweight Rematch to be Staged in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia will stage the world heavyweight title rematch between Britain’s Anthony Joshua and champion Andy Ruiz Jr, promoters announced on Friday.

The December 7 fight, dubbed ‘Clash on the Dunes’, will see Joshua trying to win back the IBF, WBA and WBO titles he sensationally lost to Ruiz Jr in New York in June of this year.

The rematch bout will take place in Diriyah, which incorporates the UNESCO World Heritage site of Al-Turaif, on the outskirts of the capital Riyadh. Nigeria News Live reports (www.newsliveng.com)

The two boxers and their promoters had
before the first fight agreed to a rematch between them regardless of who win or loss but unfortunately the Former World Champion, the Nigerian born British, Anthony Oluwaseun Joshua, was on the canvas three times before he was knocked out of the fight.

The world, particularly Joshua’s fans were shocked by the outcome of that bout and since then he has been nurturing a rematch with Ruiz in order to retrieve his belts before the end of the year.
