THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM (REVISION SERIES)
Matthew 16 vs 19

I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will have [already] been loosed in heaven.”

The assignment of Jesus on earth was not to die, death was simply a gateway to help him fulfill that assignment.

Jesus came to earth to fulfill a 3-fold assignment.

1) He came as a representation, the image of the invincible God. So you can look at Jesus to know who God is.

2) Jesus came as an agent of reconciliation.

The bible calls him the mediator of the new covenant, making the breach between two aggrieved parties. But in order to fulfill that ministry as savior and mediator, he needed to pass through the legal system of the spirit and there are ordinances that have been in the realm of the spirit that he had to subscribe to.

a) The soul that sinneth, he shall die.

b) Without thee shedding f blood there is no remission of sin.

c) Except a corn of wheat falls to the ground and dies, he abides alone.
