Every country has its own problems. No country in the world today is an utopia. Everyone has their own demons. But the truth is some countries have more problems than others, and some countries are definitely closer to hell than heaven, while some are closer to heaven than hell. I agree with the first half of your statement.. BUT for good quality of life countries like Australia and most EU countries (i.e. UK, Germany, Portugal) are far better than America.
You can be homeless in America in old age but in the EU, its damn near impossible. The government cares for the weak and elderly whether or not you've worked a day in your life.

Life in naija is sweet...sweet ladies sweet culture, cheap quality food and lots more except crazy government and harsh living condition...you can owe house rent for months or have a place to run to for accomodation, manouver your ways with some bills but it's not the same outside..owe week rent and you are homeless...you work your ass out for every dime and it is so boring that people don't have time to socialize.

But the fact is that despite all these, Nigerians still excel cos our country has trained us with hardship so much that when you go out there you can't afford to mess up the opportunity.

American to Africans countries (extreme poor nation excluded) is like comparing an average earner in Manchester United squad to his counterpart from Eyimba fc or Esperance in Tunisia......
while the former lavish money weekly and live big life ( mostly from credit card) and later ended up so broke after retirement, with rents, tax phone bills etc.
The later knowing fully well no credit card anywhere for him, will surely live normal life and maintain his money and save surely, with less tax, rent, bill and also have opportunity to start up small/medium scale biz which almost impossible for his counterpart.


I think the major different is the administration, like security, roads, standard of living, good houses power employment opportunities etc.....

You're extremely ignorant. I don't know if you've lived in America before, but you lack knowledge of what you're talking about. You're just quoting useless figures up and down without sitting down and doing a little calculation.

What is the cost of a used 2005 Toyota Corolla in America? Let's say about $4k. For a minimum wage earner in the US who works only 40 hours per week, it will take him about 4-5 months to buy the car with his whole salary.
In Nigeria, the same car probably costs about ₦1-1.4m. It will take a minimum wage earner in Nigeria about 3 years to buy the same car if he's to save up all his salary.

Americans and people from other developed world live on credit because they acquire the best quality (often newest) products. Some of them can't afford such if you ask them to pay cash, but their counterparts in Nigeria can't even dream of them in the first place.
A brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is around $1k. An average US worker can afford to buy the phone with one salary and still have enough change to sort out his rent and other stuff. How many average Nigerian workers can afford to buy a phone of about 360k from one salary? Absolutely NONE! The credit system in the western world means they don't have to pay for everything cash, but can pay in bits over some years still leaving enough cash to sort out other pressing needs.

In terms of housing, the quality of residential houses in Nigeria that can remotely be compared to the average American or European houses are probably the houses in high brow areas in Abuja, Lagos and other big cities in Nigeria. How many average Nigerian workers can afford to live there? Even junior doctors who work in government hospitals in Nigeria can't afford to rent 3 bedroom flats in Maitama, Wuse, Asokoro etc, yet these are some of the top 20% highest earning Nigerian workers.

The fact is that compared to the quality of life in the developed world, many Nigerians are not even living.

Do you know that in most African countries, having cancer or kidney disease is a death sentence because you have to source for 100% of the funds yourself.

Remember when you were in 100L? How many fellow students had to drop because of expenses?

Have you ever ridden in an ambulance in Nigeria or have an emergency number to call in life threatening situations?
