Netflix Vs The Catholic Church by loudmouth18: 2:08am On Sep 02, 2019 |
I think the discord between the catholic church and netflix is about to get bigger. Sometime ago, Netlix kick against (in some ways) against prolife and endorsed abortion. You know, they went far from business and got involved in a religious issue. They wanted to use their influence to suppress prolifers. But I think, Netflix forgot something. They forgot the biggest institution endorsing prolife was the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church has been upfront against abortion and almost seems like the religious body fighting it head on. So when Netflix struck, Catholic apologetics responded by uploading it on all their sites with their billions followers. So faithful catholics unsubscribed netflix and spread the word. The aftermath was that netflix got a downslope in market size. A very big huge downslope. But Netflix isn't done yet. They have recently come up with the trailer of a hit movie "the two popes" and as they claimed "inspired by true events". You see, people say Netflix is trying to create amity with the catholic church, while some think otherwise. Whatever the case, I think catholic apologetics are ready for whatever Netflix has in stock. They have already issued warnings to their billions followers that "inspired by true events" does not necessarily mean right and accurate. And that they should beware that watching such can create a bias mindset of the truth. I think the battle is on, Most catholics have issued their voice. Netflix is cancelled and won't be interested. Some have decided to cancel after the warnings and watching the trailers. Some others think they will watch to know what's supping. But I think if Netflix strikes with their secret weapon rather than create amity, they will receive a deadly boomerang blow. Catholics are staunch and would retaliate. Catholics haters might take the straw, draw out some loose catholics, but at the end, the catholic will prevail and draw more flocks to their pasture. It's always been like that in the past. And just imagined that most of catholic apologetics are seasoned and renowned ex abi (or) former protestant great theologians. In my opinion, Netflix should seek for amity (which I think catholics are already saying no safe the make a public apology to prolifers and produce a movie promoting prolife and ending abortion). They went down the slope just for banning and refusing to air the prolife movie "unplanned", what will happen when they strike the Shepherd? |
