There is mild drama in Kogi State on Tuesday, 3rd September, as seven  (7) aspirants earlier cleared by the peoples democratic party (PDP) to contest the primaries of the party stepped down and declared support for the formal governor of the state, Captain Idris Wada.

The aspirants, who are said to be from the eastern part of the state, also collapsed their structures to support Captain Idris Wada, a former governor pursuing a return to office. Those that stepped down include AVM Salihu Atawodi, Muhammed Tetes, Emmanuel Omebije, Grace Iye Adejor, Victor Adoji.
