Hi Guys!!

Still on Xenophobic attack on Nigerians in South Africa.

The incident is quite an unfortunate one, I can’t believe Africans would still be fighting and killing each other despite all the wars of colonial oppression we’ve faced and fought together in the past.

Meanwhile, on my way to work today, I overheard some group of Nigerian youths discussing on what could possibly be the right step for Nigerian government to take on this issue.

Then, someone said Nigerian government should shutdown South African owned businesses in Nigeria. Oh Really?

Immediately, my mind started counting the numbers of big corporations owned by South Africans in Nigeria; MTN, DSTV, Shoprite, Startimes to mention but few.

However, to the best of my knowledge, I don’t think Nigerians own companies as big as what the South Africans have on our soil.

Now, imagine Nigerian government decide to shutdown South African owned businesses in Nigeria.

These companies have their grounds in Nigeria because of politicians the likes of Obasanjo and others who have stakes in these companies, they were giving soft landing into the Nigerian market and they've taken a hold of the market, this has made it very difficult for competitors.
