Due to the recent uprising of the xenophobia attacks in SA, it has come to people's notice that the award winning singer Tiwatope Savage AKA tiwa savage came to a strong conclusion noting her boycotting of the DSTV sponsored festival in South Africa. she said on her twitter handle @TiwaSavage, and I quote


I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.
