Why The Youth Should Resist Buhari On Sowore by desmond2pk: 5:11pm On Sep 06, 2019 |
The sins of Buhari is unpardonable. In 1983 he led a group of soldiers to topple a civilain government and thereby truncated our democracy. It happens when Nigerians were trying to recover from more than 13 years of military regimes. The consequences would be, another lenghty years of military regines. It took people like MKO Abiola, Ndubuisi kalu, Anthony Enahoro, Abraham Adesanya to fight the evil military regime of Abacha. God was kind to us and Abacha died in an uncertain circumstances and another military man handed over to a civilian government of a former military president. Thus, Nigerians born after independence do not know what it is like to live under a democracy . The effects of the military rules are still with us and will be with us for a long time from now. Nigerians still believe that they do not have right to protests against the government. Nigerians still believe that the government has the right or might to arrest anyone who who is fighting for his right and the rights of others. Recently, members of IPOB protested and almost beat up a Nigerian politician in Germany. The federal government tried instigating the German government to arrest the protesters. The German government saw no reasons whatever to arrest a group of people who were protesting against a politician. But back home in Nigeria, the people saw no reason those people were not arrested. We have watched on Television who people in Europe protest against their politicians. in Nigeria, it attracts bullets from the police and military if you dare protest against the government. It is in the consciousness of every Nigerian as a treasonable offence. It is a residue from the military regime. After Obasanjo left, we began a civilian walk with president Yardua to President Jonathan. Nigerians gradually started growing rights. There were always protest against government policies from the opposition parties. It is normal under a civilian government. The now president was with the opposition then and he took advantage of the right to protest and championed many protests the government. He also made many funny accusations against the government. He even sided with boko haram then against the government which made boko haram to nominate him as their spokesman. Nobody arrested him nor took him to court. He enjoyed this rights until he was elected as a president. Under president Buhari, there is no more right to protest. People are being killed and some arrested and locked up like in military regime. He disobeys court orders as in military regime. Nigerians should stand up and fight against this evil regime. sowore represents the youths. It shows that the youths have no right in their own country. Nigerians have more right in Europe than in their own country. |

The sowere you are fighting to defend have a full knowledge of Buharis history in the life of this nation yet he fought tirelessly with his media outlet to make sure that the then sitting president was perceived as the worst evil to have happened to humanity. I believe that he who fetch ant infested firewood will be bitten by it. This is just the beginning. Sowere should enjoy his change that he clamoured for. |

It is not about sowore, it is about us. We have no right. The same right buhari enjoyed, he doesn't want others to enjoy. Sowore must be set free |
