Nigerians are calling for the sack of President Muhammadu Buhari after a video of his minister begging them to forgive him (Buhari) over his controversial WAEC certificate, surfaced on the internet.

In the video sighted by Igbere TV on Friday, Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, said the President doesn't know where he kept his credentials, technically admitting that Buhari had been parading a forged certificate.

According to him, it's been over 53 years since President Buhari finished his secondary education, therefore, it was not possible for him to still keep all his credentials complete till date.

But the explanation didn't go down well with Nigerians, as many took to Twitter to call on the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) to sack the nation's number one citizen, using the hash tag #SackBuhari.

This is even as fans of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar took the opportunity the situation presented, to call on the Presidential Tribunal and the judiciary to declare Atiku winner, using the hash tag #AtikuIsComing.

Igbere TV reports that Atiku, a former vice-president (1999-2007), was the candidate of main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 23, 2019 presidential election.

He is currently challenging the declaration of President Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the disputed presidential poll at the PEPT.

See some of the tweets and reactions below, as obtained by Igbere TV correspondents.

Waste of time, Nigeria has no working law.
If it does, then its presidents are always above the law, if not, Buhari has no business in sitting on the number one seat of this country after he deliberately, unrepentantly disobeyed many court orders.

So people should stop wasting their time, Buhari is going no where. He will rather watch Nigeria burned than for him to vacate that seat.
