Located in the twin town of Boabeng and Fiema in the Nkoranza North District of the Bono region is Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary. In the early part of the 1970s, the sanctuary was built and covers a total land area of about 4.5 km2, with about 650 monkeys of different species living in the forest. TheBoabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary even though is mentioned as being in the town of Boabeng-Fiema, is actually a few meters away from the town, lying just at the outskirt of the two twin communities.

Inhabitants of the community take responsibility for the welfare of the monkeys wholeheartedly and regularly provide them with foods such as banana and other edible fruits.
