I HEAR PEOPLE SAY 1 DOLLAR, 100 DOLLARS, 100 EUROS, 100 POUNDS BUT NEVER 100 NAIRAS. ALTHOUGH THE EUROPEANS OFTEN PLURALIZE THE NAIRA AND CALL IT NAIRAS BUT WE DO NOT DO THAT HERE IN NIGERIA. FELLOW NAIRALANDERS WHATS YOUR TAKE ON THIS. |

dunno,but maybe cus the word naira is not an english word; like yen, peso,denari etc. |

That is naira is uncountable just like water and sand,so the S won't be needed unlike pounds and dollars? |
