• Not being able to limit how much alcohol is consumed
• Storing alcohol in unlikely places
• Drinking in order to feel good

Treatment includes counseling by a health care professional.

A detoxification program in a hospital or medical facility is an alternative for those in need of extra help. Medications that decrease the willingness to drink are accessible.
