We don't even know who the advisors of these students are. With the current situation in Nigeria, most of them might need to travel out after their education more than anyone else, so why make enemies in their probable destination.

The other day, they were protesting that the government must adequately fund the police while their lecturers still had ongoing issues with the FG.

"chicken-hearted" Docile youths who go behind to take bribes and cannot stick out their neck for any tangible revolution to change thier country for ever.
what has Police got to do as mediator in our days of unionism?
Those of us who experienced it in the late 80s and 90s From OAU, UI UNILAG and other knew what Unionism used to Be.

South Africans should not be allowed to do business in Nigeria if they have decided to make their country uncomfortable for us.
Presently working with one in the creek of Bayelsa, sometimes I feel like giving him a dirty slap.

Make an example out of him before his savage tendencies start to display

Leadership of the National Association Of Nigeria Student (NANS) has been invited to the force headquarter over a threat -that all South African Companies should leave Nigeria before Seven Days- issued by the student body last week in response to xenophobic attacks.

A meeting held between the IGP, Federal Republic of Nigeria and NANS ended on a mutual note. The meeting X-rayed NANS involvement so far in the Xenophobia struggle as well as both Nigerian and South Africans government’s efforts at reaching lasting solutions. While the IGP appreciated the peacefulness of NANS agitation for an end to Xenophobic attacks on African nationals especially Nigerians.

A petition submitted by the South African High Commission was responded to by the NANS leadership. The NANS President took time to debunk the fallacies and fears expressed by the South African High Commission and gave evidences of actions taken so far.

The president also reiterated on behalf of the students movement that no violence has been recorded so far in their actions and none will be encouraged as we go even further.
He also asserted that they are morally higher than the South Africans hence their resolve to press for freedom, dignity and respect for all Nigerians, Africans and the businesses they own in South Africa without violence against their persons and businesses.

The IGP advised that the students movement should operate within the ambit of the law and he assured the Police authorities of their commitment to the struggle through consistent global advocacy for the defence of all Nigerians in South Africans.

The President of NANS, Comr. Danielson Akpan, GCNS was accompanied by the Comr. Yinka Dada, JP, former NANS President, Comr. Eugene Okoloise, NANS VP National Affairs 2000/01, Comr. Ekemini Inyang Ex-Officio 1 among others.

Students? The President of NANS is a graduate that finished NYSC years ago . . .

"Bamidele graduated from Nassarawa State University Keffi and he has MSc in International Relations & Strategic Studies."
