Due to prevailing judgements quashing electoral victories and the subsequent dismissal of petitions filed by election tribunals nationwide, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Delta State Governor has tasked the state’s judicial commission to live up to standard.

Speaking over the weekend at Asaba during the swearing-in of Chief Stephen Ajusah as a member of the Delta State Judicial Service Commission, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa called on the commission to ensure that judicial officers carry out their duties effectively to rekindle public confidence in the judicial system.


“We are experiencing trying times in our nation. People are looking up to the judiciary to carry out its duties effectively; there should be no room for laxity,” Governor Okowa said.
